Storage Wars

The other night I was watching the TV show, Storage Wars. The one guy and his son had bought a locker for $800 and were going through a bunch of things in it. It was producing no money at first but then he found a poster. When he looked at it, it was a poster in spanish and had a wanted message for two men on the front. The older guy didn't know how to read it so he gave it to his son. His son started reading bits and pieces of it and I picked up on quite a bit of what he was saying. Hombre, atencion, and millones were just a few of many words that I knew. He thought the poster was worth big money like $400 but in reality it was worth just about $30! I never really thought I would hear any Spanish coming from a show where people buy storage lockers!

Spanish at the Orthodontist

While I was at the ortho I meet some Spanish speaking people. I was in the back when they came in. The only thing that I could understand was hola. They were from Mexico, but they also knew English. My orthodontists guys was trying to speak in spanish to, but he only knew simply words. He asked them some things and how they would say it in spanish, but I had no idea what they were saying, since we hadn't learned it yet. That was the first time I had every encountered spanish at the orthodontists.

Hahah ahhh spanisshh.. gottaa loove it(:

Soo the other day, I was watching the show Jeapordy, because I like watching it to see if I can answer any of the questions. Well usually, I can't, because I am not that smart. But this time while watching it, one of the questions that was asked was, what does the Spanish word nostoros mean? I shouted out loud that it means we! The guy that buzzed in to answer the question got it wrong and I felt so smart! Hahah :P
