Spanish in the Mall

So a couple of weeks ago I was shopping at the mall in Dubuque and I overheard some Hispanic people talking. I couldn't help myself but to eavesdrop on what they were talking about. I heard a few words that I understood and I could pretty much put together what they were talking about. We were in a store and they were looking at a shirt. I heard them say camisa and bonita which are shirt and pretty which would make sense since they were obviously looking to decide if they wanted to buy it or not. I was actually really impressed that I could understand what they were saying just by a couple of words. It's nice that the little bit of Spanish we have learned can help you understand a conversation in the real world. Spanish is everywhere.
