Eavsdropping In The Kitchen

A couple of weekends ago my family and I went to Las Flores in Manchester. I love the food there. It is so good! Everytime I go there I get the same thing, a chicken taco salad. Yum! But this time, I sort of eavesdropped on the people in the kitchen when I went to the restroom. They were speaking a little English and some Spanish as well while they were making the food. I caught on to a few words, but I didn't understand much. I know I heard mucho, orden, grande, and baño. When they said orden they were talking about someone's order and when mucho was said I was guessing it was if they wanted a lot of a certain topping on their food. When I heard grande I knew they were talking about something being quite large. After one of the men said baño, he went to the bathroom, so I think he was telling them he had to go to the bathroom. And of course when I walked in I said hola and when I left I said chao and I think they laughed at my American accent. Over first semester I learned quite a bit. Enough to pick up some things here and there between multiple Spanish-speaking people. It was interesting.
